Difference in cost for resident students

The economic recovery surcharge is designed to recover a portion of the base budget funds lost as a result of General Fund budget reductions in FY09 and FY10. The economic recovery surcharge is to help maintain quality instruction and course availability. The economic recovery surcharge varies depending on residency status due to the methodology used by the Arizona Board of Regents which takes into consideration a number of economic factors which are part of the State of Arizona.

This economic recovery surcharge has only been approved for the 2009-2010 academic year. The university, in partnership with alumni, civic groups, private foundations, individuals, and federal and state governments, remains committed to helping you reach your educational goals.
