Course Description

Information systems through various types of networks have been indispensable for modern societies in the information age. In order to use and process information with great confidence, both the information systems and networks as well as the information must be trustworthy. To achieve this objective, users need not only dependable and secure information systems and networks, but also effective mechanisms to ensure the integrity and quality of the information.

The Information Assurance and Security (IAS) Program at ASU addresses the broad issues of developing trustworthy information systems and ensuring the quality of information being stored, processed and transmitted by information systems and networks. The IAS program is multi-disciplinary in nature and scope, consisting of more than 20 faculty members from several departments.

Information Assurance and Security (IAS) encompasses the scientific, technical, and management disciplines required to ensure the trustworthiness of information systems and networks.

We also have strong academic programs including concentrations in cyber security at the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. level.
